The automated Giesen W140A coffee roaster is equipped with the “Green Coffee Conveyor,” featuring weighing cells that weigh the green coffee and transfer it to the roaster. This roaster can load batches weighing up to 140 kg, which is twice as much as its predecessor, the W60A model.
The roasting profile is fully adjustable through the drum rotation speed regulator and airflow control. The low stationary burner allows precise temperature control. An optional press compresses the coffee chaff into a convenient disc. The water injection option for the drum further accelerates the cooling process. For added safety, an emergency generator can be installed to reduce downtime in case of power loss.
The roasting process is monitored and programmed through the control panel using the “Giesen Profiler” software. The control panel corresponds to the size of the W140A. It features two screens: one for roasting profiling and one for roaster control.
Roasting profiles are stored in the system and can be reproduced to achieve consistent high-quality results. Each parameter can be adjusted at any point during roasting or additional actions can be added offline. When a specific value is reached, a predetermined action follows. For example, when your beans reach 120 degrees, the temperature drops by 30 degrees.
The W140A roaster features a partially cast iron drum with high-performance bearings.
Roaster Dimensions:
Width: 1.26 m
Length: 3 m
Height: 2.2 m
Installing the W140A roaster with necessary additional equipment requires a minimum of 64 square meters of free space in the workshop.
Standard equipment such as a low-noise burner, quiet fans, and drum rotation speed control are also included in this roaster. Additionally, the roaster operates with an external cyclone equipped with an automatic gate for chaff collection.
